Darsha Assant - Page 3

Eventually, Darsha was able to discover the reason for Lorn's hatred towards the Jedi. Evidentially, his son was found to be Force-sensitive, and he was taken from Lorn by the Jedi Order for training. Also, the Council believed that in order to prevent a conflict of interest, Lorn was never allowed to see his son again leaving him to hate the Jedi ever since. However, with Darsha's help, he was able to reconcile his grief and let go of his hatred towards the Jedi, as he saw in Darsha how truly important they were. Almost to the upper levels of Coruscant, Darsha, Lorn and I5 make their way into a storage room filled with fuel canisters and a small carbon-freezing chamber.

Just as Darsha and Lorn start to celebrate their escape, Darth Maul appears, having caught up with his quarry. Sealing Lorn and I5 in the chamber, Darsha engages Maul in a lightsaber battle, a battle she knows she cannot win. Darsha may not have been as proficient with a lightsaber, but she was a Jedi Knight and strong in the Force. While Darth Maul was busy and distracted with toying with his prey and the thrill of the fight, Darsha was carrying out a plan that she hoped would allow her to defeat the Dark Lord. Taking a cur from her Master, one by one, Darsha gathered the fuel canisters in the room together in a large pile. Luring Darth Maul close, Darsha cut the canisters with her lightsaber, causing an explosion that destroyed the storage room as well as sending Darsha Assant, Jedi Knight, to become one with the Force.

Unfortunately, Darth Maul recognized her plan and managed to jump out of a high window and away from danger, allowing him to survive the blast. Additionally, Darth Maul eventually caught up with Lorn who survived the blast also and eliminated the last person who was a threat to the Sith's plans. Because the Jedi Council was never informed of Darsha's loss of Oolth, as well as her return to the lower levels with her Master, Darsha's and Master Bondara's disappearance and death remained a mystery to the Jedi Order and unfortunately were unaware and thus unprepared for the Sith's plans.
